DAY 22
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
9 Two people are better off than one for they can help each other succeed. 10 If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble.
THOUGHT
You know that feeling when literally nothing is going right? The type of feeling where you might question God and His plans for you. I'll speak for myself when I say I've been there too often. It wasn't until coming to Highland Park Church that I realized how big God's plans were for me.
Three months into coming to Highland Park, I got plugged in. The instant sense of community and the constant positivity shown by this congregation is exactly what I needed. All it took was for someone to reach out and help me realize that when I thought everything was going wrong, God's plan for me was right on track. Getting involved in the church has led to those close to me getting involved, and their faith is growing and becoming stronger than ever.
Have you ever helped someone find, rediscover, or strengthen their relationship with Jesus? If you have, then you know that there is no better feeling than seeing the light come back into their life. And if you haven't, then I pray that you embrace this challenge and allow God to use you. Don't let this challenge stay surface level; don't just invite 35 people to Highland Park Church; build 35 relationships. Continue pouring into the lives of those falling alone because we weren't made to do this alone, and we are better together.
ACTION
1. Reach out to the first person that comes to mind when you think, "Who could I be praying for today?" Have a conversation, check in with them, invite them to church, and if they do not already attend, make sure they are not falling alone. But most importantly, PRAY FOR THEM.
2. Follow up with your invites so far—if possible; if not, start forming connections with the people you're inviting so you can follow up!
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, thank you for HP and the ability to unite and find community. Lord, I thank You for how You are moving in my life and in those around me. I pray You help us make the connections we need to help those who are feeling alone. Help us find the ONE and bring them to You so they can know Your love and the good plans You have put in place for their life. In your name, I pray, Amen.
